The Rabbi From Cracow

[Via Rob Bell..]

"There's a story about a rabbi from Cracow who dreams that there's massive treasure buried under a bridge in a far away city. So as soon as he wakes up, he packs up his things and journeys many days to that far away city, finally arriving at the bridge. He's hiding in the bushes, trying to see where exactly the treasure is when one of the policeman who guards the bridge sees him. 'You there in the bushes! What are you doing?' the guard asks. The rabbi realizes he's been spotted and comes out of hiding. He answers: 'Well, it sounds absurd now, but I had this dream in which there was massive treasure buried under this bridge.' The guard bursts out laughing. 'You believe in dreams like that?' he says, 'If I believed in dreams like that...' 'Then I'd believe the dream I had recently in which I saw treasure buried under the bed of some rabbi from Cracow.' And with that, the rabbi thanked him and then headed for home..."
