People Get Ready..

During the teen Fascinate conference at IHOP a few weeks ago, I was meditating on the Lord during worship, & I had a vision..

People were terrified of this great storm that was coming & everyone everywhere was crying out, "The greatest storm yet to come! This is the greatest storm ever to come to earth!" It even covered newspaper headlines. I then responded, "No, this is the greatest storm to return.." And while everyone was preparing for prevention, I was preparing for encounter. I was preparing for the collision of Heaven & Earth. I then had the image of Noah building the ark & warning the people of the coming flood. I feel we are in a season of Noahs that the Lord is raising up to prophesy of the coming storm of the Lord's return. Beautiful & glorious is it for the ones who are ready. It is restoration & restitution for the lovers of God, yet it is demolition & death for the lost. Are we burning for recruit?

I found it interesting that the Lord showed me this since it really hasn't been something that has burdened my heart. It is not that I don't care about salvation, it is more so that I have yet to really understand the urgency of crying out the Lord's return since the day & the hour are unknown. I guess because I don't want to get myself or others into the mindset of, "Jesus is coming back soon, therefore I have no responsibilities or cares regarding my life currently on this earth." I believe this encounter to be valid however, because it is not something I would have chosen to envision on my own. But regardless of our own eschatological viewpoints & mindsets, are we burning for the lost? Do we understand the reality of the Lord's return whether or not it is 10 years or 1,000 years from now? Are we living for a generation beyond ourselves? It was a reminder for me that I need to cast my vision higher & farther than my eyes can see..

We are longing, we are waiting
Hasten the day of Your coming..
